1. Information We Collect
When you use MonPG, we collect information necessary to provide our PostgreSQL monitoring service:
- Account information: Email address, name, and authentication credentials (managed via Keycloak SSO).
- Database metrics: Performance statistics collected by the MonPG collector running in your environment (pg_stat_statements, connection counts, replication status, etc.).
- Usage data: How you interact with our dashboard, feature usage patterns, and error logs.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- Database credentials (passwords, connection strings) — these never leave your network.
- Actual data stored in your databases — we only collect metadata and performance metrics.
- Query results or row-level data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide real-time monitoring dashboards and alerts.
- Generate performance recommendations (index advisor, vacuum advisor).
- Improve our service and develop new features.
- Send service-related notifications (alerts, reports).
4. Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. We use AES-256-GCM encryption for sensitive fields. Access is controlled via row-level security policies in our database.
5. Data Retention
Monitoring data is retained according to your plan (14-90 days). Account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting privacy@monpg.app.
