About MonPG

MonPG is a database monitoring and performance optimization platform built for production teams. It connects query history, plan evidence, lock pressure, replication lag, and smart alerts in one focused workflow — for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQL Server, self-hosted or managed on AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure, Google Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Supabase, and Neon.

Who writes this

MonPG and its blog are built and written by dbivio. dbivio builds MonPG and writes its database field notes: production diagnostics, query performance, and the operational lessons behind them — across PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQL Server. Every field note on this site comes from operating real database fleets: the incidents, the diagnostics that actually worked, and the fixes that survived production.

The writing follows one rule: no advice we would not run on our own databases. If a post covers lock queues, vacuum pressure, or a migration pattern, it is because we hit it, measured it, and fixed it first.

What MonPG believes

• Evidence over dashboards. A CPU graph is a symptom. The query family, wait event, lock chain, or plan change behind it is the answer.
• Databases only. Four engines, each done deeply — not twenty integrations done shallowly. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQL Server, nothing else.
• Your data stays yours. The collector runs inside your network with a read-only role; credentials never leave your environment.
